Welcome to the I Love Teaching conference; the fifth ILT-sponsored education conference. In challenging educational times, we wanted to remind educators of their passion for the job they do; and to refresh their love for their craft: hence the "I Love Teaching" brand for this event.
The conference programme is this time themed for teachers under two key competencies - Managing Self and Relating to Others: thinking about these from a teacher's viewpoint; wanting to model them in a context that empowers you to make connections to your classroom environment.
This conference is unique, in that teachers will be exposed to presenters' strategies that can be immediately implemented back the learning environment. The conference content can also be used as professional development over time either as a whole-school initiative; or for like-minded staff.
Congratulations for choosing to attend; we promise that you will not be disappointed.
We are offering humour, challenge, collegiality, and an overdue reminder that you are amazing, committed professionals; professionals that society often only hears about through media or political windows. The fact is: you are the most important professional in most students' lives. You meet with yours daily in a game that is not easy to play. As the then All Black captain Tana Umaga once said, "This isn't tiddlywinks."
Have fun. Learn. Enjoy.

The ILT is proud to again be the major sponsor of this now well-established and successful professional development initiative.
The ILTs commitment to our vision of being a city of educational excellence is becoming well recognised around the country; central to this philosophy is providing these opportunities for classroom practitioners to hear exciting presenters, perspectives, and ideas.
The success of the first enrich@ILT tour of schools of excellence was exciting and feedback has been very positive; continuing our drive to us showcase the many and varied initiatives the ILT has supported.
Education is constantly changing so it is our pleasure to be able to assist classroom teachers to continue their own learning through exposing them to current educational practice. I acknowledge your dedication in attending this event during your term break.
The ILT conference team have again selected a variety of presenters that will engage you, entertain you, and promote new thinking. Enjoy the debate, discussion, and reflection about what you will hear - all signs of a healthily stimulating conference.
Speaking of health, r'n'r is vital for personal refreshment: we hope that you take time to frequent one of our many quality ILT establishments during this event and beyond.
Regards & best wishes
